No candidate shall be eligible for admission after a lapse of more than Five Years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination. The year of admission will not be taken into account while calculating 5 years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.

Every applicant must fulfil the eligibility criteria as laid down for each course.

The Graduation degree course must be UGC recognised and must be of at least three years. For degrees awarded by the Foreign Universities, AIU guidelines for equivalence procedures will be followed and the candidate will be required to submit the relevant document at the time of admission. For an undergraduate law degree, awarded by a Foreign University, the candidate will be required to submit an equivalence certificate from the Bar Council of India (BCI). These documents must be submitted during the admission. Candidates having degree with CGPA/GPA/DGPA etc. must have the equivalent percentage as prescribed in the eligibility criteria laid down for each course.

If the final degree result is not published at the time of application, percentage of marks for eligibility will be calculated on the basis of the aggregate of 1st to 4th Semester or Part I and Part II or Year 1 and Year 2 (Applicable for 3 Years Degree Course) OR 1st to 6th Semester or Part I to Part III or Year 1 to Year 3 (Applicable for 4 Years Degree Course) OR 1st to 8th Semester or Part I to Part IV or Year 1 to Year 4 (Applicable for 5 Years Degree Course) OR 1st to 10th Semester or Part I to Part V or Year 1 to Year 5 (Applicable for 6 Years Degree Course) and the candidate is required to pass in all papers.

If, at the time of admission, final degree mark sheet cannot be shown, the admission will be provisional and the student must produce the final degree mark sheet latest by 15th October 2025; failing which, the admission is liable to be cancelled.

If a student, who is admitted provisionally, fails to fulfil the eligibility regarding the required aggregate marks in graduation, admission of the student will be cancelled.

If the admission is cancelled due to the above-mentioned reasons, fees will be refunded as per UGC Fee Refund Policy (October 2018).

If it is found that information submitted by the candidate is not true, admission will be cancelled, and fees will not be refunded.

For M.A. in English, M.A. in Economics, M.A. in Psychology, M. Sc is Statistics, and M. Sc in Computer Science, if after the publication of final result, the student is not able to obtain the Honours/Major degree, the admission to the aforementioned courses will be cancelled and for cancellation the UGC Fee Refund Policy will be applicable.

RESERVATION FOR EWS (Economically Weaker Sections): A maximum 10% of the total seats for each course are reserved for EWS category. This provision is made as per the government guidelines. The candidate/s who opt for this category will be required to upload the EWS certificate issued by the competent authority. Without the certificate the application will be cancelled. Candidates are requested to check the detailed government notification before opting to apply for this category.

The University reserves the right to reject the candidature and/or cancel the application / admission at any stage if an applicant fails to fulfil the above conditions.
