Admission to B.Tech. Programs for the AY 2025-26
UPESEAT stands for the University of Petroleum & Energy Studies Engineering Aptitude Test. It's a university-level entrance exam conducted by UPES (University of Petroleum & Energy Studies) primarily for admission to its B.Tech programs in various engineering disciplines.
Minimum 50% marks in class X and XII with minimum 50% in PCM (Physics/Chemistry and Mathematics) in class XII. (School of Advanced Engineering/School of Computer Science)
For B.Tech. Mathematics and Computing program: Minimum 70% marks in Class X and XII, along with 70% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in Class XII.
OR
Minimum 50% marks in class X & XII with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Math's, and English as a major subject in XII (School of Health Sciences and Technology)
UPESEAT/JEE Mains/Board Merit/SAT/CUET
For B.Tech. Mathematics and Computing program, the performance of individual candidates in UPESEAT/ JEE Mains (Min. 60 percentile & above)/ SAT (Min. 1150 score & above)/Board Merit (Min. 80% marks in class X and XII along with 80% aggregate marks in PCM) followed by Personal Interview.

Non-Exam Pathway

Board Merit: Minimum 80% marks in class X, XII, and minimum 80% aggregate in PCM/B.

JEE Mains, SAT cut-off rank & CUET score are to be announced (on the UPES website) after the declaration of 2025 results.

Take a Demo Test: Students are recommended to take a demo test to gain practice and resolve any queries before the examination.

Login credentials for online exam: Actual credentials (passkey) to appear for the exam on the chosen date will be provided to students one day prior to the exam on the registered email ID and mobile number. This should not be confused with the demo link passkey.

The examination Test window will be from 10 am to 3 pm.
Students can log in during the given timeframe and begin with the online test. Please note that the timer starts when the student logs in.
