LPUNEST is a National Entrance and Scholarship Test for admission to various programmes in Lovely Professional University. The test forms the basis of eligibility and scholarship for most of the programmes and for some of the programmes the test is applicable only for scholarship.

How to apply
The applicant needs to deposit the fee online mode or manually by visiting the university campus/ Camp Office. For admission, students need to follow these steps:
Application Form
Register onto LPU ADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). You will receive a confirmation E-mail on your registered email id or Login to the LPU ADMIT with an already created username/ password. After updating your profile information, choose the test application form (based on eligibility criteria).

Application forms can be obtained and submitted using one of the following methods-
Step-1: Online Mode
Visit admissions.lpu.in and complete the following steps
  • Step 1: Sign Up - Register onto LPUADMIT(admission.lpu.in) with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password).
  • Step 2: Payment for LPUNEST Kit - The cost of LPUNEST Kit needs to be paid by the applicant as per his/ her choice.
  • Application Fee:
  • Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys and Girls).
  • Printed LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1500 (for Boys and Girls). The payment can be made using Online banking/Credit card/debit card / UPI.
  • Step 3: General Information and Qualification details - The application form details like Aadhar card number, address details and qualification details need to be filled by the applicant.
  • Step 4: Exam Information - Applicant needs to book the slot (preferred venue (if applicable), date and time as per their choice) to appear in the LPUNEST Exam. Applicant can also download the hall ticket from the portal.
Step-2: Offline Mode
Offline Mode LPUNEST Kit may be obtained by the applicant from the University Campus or any other prescribed place by paying cash.
  • Cost of Application form of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys and Girls).
  • Once the applicant has obtained the LPUNEST Kit, application form can be submitted by one of the following methods:
    Manual Application: Fill the full application form (OMR sheet) after reading all the instructions as specified under the head "Instructions for filling Application Form (OMR sheet)" and send it to the university in the self-addressed envelope on the following Address:
    Block 30, Room No 102, Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar Delhi, GT Road, Phagwara, Punjab, India - 144411.
Note: Incomplete application (For example: Declaration not signed) will not be processed. LPU does not take responsibility to inform these applicants. Such applicants will not be able to access the LPU Admit. Applicants are hence advised to duly fill the application form and dispatch it along with complete requisite documents in all respects.

Step-3: Semi-Offline Application
  • Semi-Offline Application: In case applicant is unable to send the hard copy of application form (OMR Sheet), then applicant may scratch the Unique OMR code available on application form (OMR Sheet) and follow the below mentioned steps:
    Sign up on LPU ADMIT portal (admission.lpu.in)
    When prompted for payment, choose the option of Unique OMR Code (given on OMR Sheet)and fill the same.
    After successful submission of online application form, refer the step- 3 of Online Mode option as mentioned above.
Note: Printout of the computer-generated application should be retained by the applicant for reference. All our correspondence including test centre booking and Hall Ticket details will be through email only. Therefore, the applicants are requested to get ready with valid email id and mobile number for contact. No separate communication will be done for the same.

Note: Depending on the Programme, LPUNEST will have any one of the following purpose:
  • Admission and Scholarship
  • Only Scholarship

Admission Process - Includes Counselling
After qualifying LPUNEST exam, the applicant needs to deposit the fee online mode or manually by visiting the university campus/Camp Office. For admission, students need to follow these steps:

Step-1: Signup
  • Register onto LPUADMIT with basic details (Name, Email ID, Mobile No., State, Gender and Password). Your email id will act as your username for the portal and password will be set by you while registering on the portal.
  • You will get a mail on your registered email id regarding this.
  • Login to the LPUADMIT with already created username/password.
Step-2: Apply LPUNEST (Entrance and Scholarship Test)
LPUNEST is an online test which acts as a gateway to programme you are interested in. Admission in this programme is done based on performance in LPUNEST. In addition, LPUNEST also act as Scholarship test and student can avail huge scholarship based on performance in this test.
  • Deposit the test fee:
    - Cost of Application form with Soft copy of LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1000 (for Boys and Grls).
    - Cost of Application form with Printed LPUNEST Kit is Rs. 1500 (for Boys and Girls).
  • Fill the test application form.
Step-3: Book the Exam Slot and Appear
  • Book the slot to appear in the LPUNEST Exam:
    - For Test Centre Based Exam, Book preferred venue, date and time.
    - For Remotely Proctored Online Exam, Book preferred date and time. Click here to view the General Guidelines.
  • Appear and qualify the exam.
Step-4: Result and Seat Allotment (Online Counselling)
  • Get your scorecard/rank.
  • Fill the seat preference.
    - The student can give preferences which can vary in stream and programme.
  • In the first round of counselling, depending upon the seat availability and preferences filled by the candidates, a particular preference number would be allotted.
  • Download the allotment letter and proceed for admission step.
Step-5: Admission
  • Deposit initial payment of Rs. 10000/-. After the successful realization of the payment:
    - A Unique Provisional Registration No. will be generated and sent to your registered Email ID.
  • Upload the documents.
    - Recent Photograph
    - Matriculation Marksheet
    - Qualifying exam Certificate/ Marksheet. Also, if the applicant is claiming scholarship on the basis of qualification previous to eligibility qualification he/ she is required to submit the previous qualifications exam certificate/ marksheet also. In case the exam certificate/ marksheet is not available at the time of filling this application form (recently appeared), it may be submitted later also.
    - Address Proof
  • Apply for residential / mess / transportation / parking facility as per the requirement.
  • All the submitted documents are to be verified from the originals within the prescribed timelines.
  • Deposit the balance fee within the timelines prescribed by the university.
NOTE: Subsequent rounds of counselling may follow depending upon availability of seats.

  • The applicant will be allotted a particular programme in the first round of counselling, based upon the availability of seat and preferences filled by the applicant.
  • Deposit initial fee of Rs. 10000/- to confirm the seat. (Application fee: Rs. 500. Rest will be adjusted under the Programme Fee of the first semester).
  • Applicants for the following programs must qualify an interview round as part of the admission process:
    - B.Tech. (CSE - AI and Data Engineering)
    - B.Tech. (CSE - Software Product Engineering)
    - B.Tech. (CSE - Machine Intelligence and Data Analytics)
