ENTRANCE TESTS FOR ADMISSIONS TO PROGRAMMES OFFERED AT IMU

Candidates who have qualified in the following exams can also seek admission:
  • GATE/CUET-(PG)/PG-CET: For PG Programmes except Online MBA (MM). However preference will be given to candidates with IMU-CET rank.
  • CAT/MAT/CMAT/UG Marks: For MBA Programmes except Online MBA (MM). However, preference will be given to candidates with IMU-CET rank.
  • Ph.D./Ph.D. (Integrated)/M.S.(By Research): Details of Entrance Test will be informed through a separate notification

BBA 1st, 2nd allotment lists & First Come First Served (FCFS) 10+2/equivalent with minimum 50% of aggregated marks in any stream and minimum of 50% marks in English subject in 10th / 12th Examination.

Note: Percentage of the Aggregate marks will be calculated by considering the marks scored in English subject plus the marks scored in Major Subjects (excluding other languages).

* Preference in admissions will be given to candidates with IMU-CET rank. Hence the candidates are encouraged to register for IMU-CET.

NOTE: The Application Fee for Registration is non-refundable and is for issuing of CET Rank Certificate. IMU reserves the right to adopt necessary method such as Entrance Exam (IMUCET)/ Normalisation of entry qualification marks or any such method to arrive at ranks for issuing of Rank Certificate to qualified candidates.

Residual seats: Seats that are vacant after publication of final list.

For admission through Lateral Entry, the college/campus is to be approached as the admissions through Lateral Entry will be as per the mechanism decided by College / Campus.

The counselling portal will be hosted after release of IMU-CET rank list. Candidates wishing to apply through entry mechanism other than IMU-CET 2025 need to apply in the counselling portal and need not apply in the IMU-CET 2025 registration portal.

2 IMU-CET for MBA Programmes MBA (PSM) & MBA (ITLM) No. of Questions – 120 multiple choice questions Syllabus -
Quantitative ability, Data interpretation, Verbal ability and Reasoning.
3 IMU-CET-PGTechnical Programmes All M.Tech. Programmes No. of Questions – 120 multiple choice questions. Syllabus -
English, Mathematics & one of Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Marine Engineering / Naval Architecture & Ocean Enginnering
- The first 3 IMU-CETs as mentioned above are scheduled to be conducted at the same time on the same date.
- Admission Prospectus for Research Programmes will be separately published on IMU Website.

Candidates desirous of admission to DNS – February 2026 batch are required to take the CET (IMU-CET 2025) compulsorily since there will not be any separate CET for February 2026 batch.

Negative marking will be followed and for every wrong answer 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Candidates desirous of taking admission to IMU programmes through any other eligible scores or through IMUCET ranks of year 2024, need not register in IMU-CET 2025 portal. However, candidates are to note that IMU-CET 2025 will have preference and hence candidates should opt for IMU-CET 2025, for having a better chance of securing seats.

IMU reserves the right to change the distribution, types, level of difficulty, etc. of the questions asked from time to time.
