Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE) is the entrance test administered and conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to its prestigious B.Tech. programs offered across its various campuses.

AEEE is a national-level exam, known for its rigorous and fair assessment of candidates' aptitude in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.

The examination offers students a gateway to join one of India's top-ranked private engineering institutions, renowned for its high academic standards, world-class academic infrastructure, and strong emphasis on research and innovation. AEEE is offered as computer-based format, for candidates across the country.

AEEE 2025 (Phase-2)
  • AEEE 2025 Phase-2: 7th May to 11th May
  • Last date to apply for AEEE: 2nd May
  • Already registered candidates do not need to register again for Phase-2.
  • Candidates who registered and booked a slot for AEEE Phase-1, regardless of attendance, must pay an additional fee to appear for Phase-2. The reattempt payment link is available on your dashboard.
  • Candidates who registered but did not book a slot for AEEE Phase-1 are eligible to appear for Phase-2 without any additional payment.
  • Candidates who have completed the registration for AEEE Phase-2 can wait for the slot booking process, which will begin 10 to 15 days before the Phase-2 exam date. You will be notified via email/SMS, and updates will be available on our website: aeee.amrita.edu
Pattern of AEEE
  • Duration of the Exam: 150 Minutes (2.5 Hours)
  • Mode of Exam: Computer Based Test (CBT) held at various cities across the country.
  • Subjects:
    - Mathematics: 40 questions
    - Physics: 30 questions
    - Chemistry: 25 questions
    - English: 5 questions
  • Marks: 3 (three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer.
How to Apply
Interested candidates can login to the official admission portal, https://aeee.amrita.edu , to submit their application online. To submit the application form, candidates must fill out personal information and academic profile. Candidates must select one of AEEE 2025, JEE Mains while deciding on the mode of admissions. Select the exam centre, date, and slot information if you've chosen AEEE 2025.
Eligibility
Candidates desirous of joining Amrita B.Tech. programs shall satisfy the following eligibility & criteria before the commencement of classes.
Age: Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 upto 30th June 2009.

Educational Qualification: A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidate passing out in 2025 and passed out in 2024 can apply.

"All subjects in the qualifying examination must be completed and passed in the same year and from the same board. Passing any subject from a different board or in a different year will not be considered valid".
Admission Process
According to the performance of candidates in the entrance exam, candidates who meet the requirements for AEEE 2025 will be offered admission to the University's B.Tech. programmes through a Centralised Seat Allotment Process (CSAP). Two phases of the AEEE will be held in January and April 2025. Candidates can attend the exam in January or April. The AEEE is conducted at more than 90 centres spread across the country. Best percentile score is taken to rank the candidates attending both the phases.

Additionally, the university grants admission to its engineering programmes based on the percentile secured in JEE Mains also. 70% of the seats in each branch are open to applicants with the AEEE 2025. Rest of the 30% seats are reserved for those who received good percentile scores in one of the sessions of JEE Mains 2025.
