Admission Notice 2016

It is hereby notified that On-line Admission Form will be available in the College website – “www.vidyasagarcollege.edu.in” from 10:00 A.M. on 17.05.2016 and the same is to be filled-in and submitted online. The last date for online submission of form is 03.06.2016 up to 23:59 hours. Application fee of Rs. 350/- (Rupees Three Hundred Fifty Only) per form (Bank charges extra) is to be deposited at any branch of PUNJAB NATIONAL BANK (PNB), West Bengal on presentation of pay-in-slip (Bank Copy) which can be printed after submitting the On-line form or the application fees may be paid online too (from 06:00 A.M. on and from 23.05.2016 to 03.06.2016). The last date of submission of application fee through Offline is 06.06.2016 (within Banking hours). The applicants are instructed to preserve his/her pay-in-slip(s) in case of Off-line submission of Application Fees or acknowledgement slip(s) in case of On-line submission of Application Fees and the hard copy On-line filled-up form which are to be produced during the time of counseling and admission process. Without pay-in-slip / acknowledgement slip and the hard copy of On-line filled-up form claim for admission will not be entertained. Candidates who passed 10+2 or its equivalent Examination from any Board or Council recognized by Calcutta University in 2011 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to First Year B.A. / B.Sc. (Honours/ General) of 3 year degree course under 1+1+1, 2009 C.U. Regulation system, for the session 2016-2017. Admission will be strictly on the basis of merit. For publication of provisional merit list of the valid applicants, the date of assembly, time, venue, etc in each subject/stream and also for related information, the applicants are directed to visit our website and the message(s) will be sent to registered mobile number.

Any application form containing wrong and / or incomplete information will be rejected and not considered for preparation of Provisional Merit List and admission.

• Opening of On-line submission of application form for Admission is on 17.05.2016 (Tuesday) from 10:00 A.M. onwards.
• Starting of payment of Application Fees (Rs. 350/-) through Off-line (in any branch of PNB) after one working day of On-line submission of Application form and through On-line from 06:00 A.M. onwards on and from 23.05.2016.
• Last date for submission of On-line Application Form & On-line Application Fees payment : 03.06.2016 (Friday) up to 11:59 P.M.
• Last date for off-line payment : 06.06.2016 (Monday) [within Banking hours].
• Tentative date of publication of Provisional Merit list : 14.06.2016 (Afternoon).
• Written complaint regarding Provisional Merit List be dropped in the drop box addressing Principal, Vidyasagar College, Kolkata, kept at 17 Bidhan Sarani, Kolkata – 700 006 Campus (Ground Floor) on 15.06.2016 and 16.06.2016 latest by 05:00 P.M.
• Processing of received complaints be addressed by the college on 17.06.2016 and 18.06.2016. Time : 12:00 Noon to 04:00 P.M. at Seminar room of 17 Bidhan Sarani, Kolkata-6 Campus of the College.
• Tentative date of publication of Final Provisional Merit list : 20.06.2016.
• Admission procedure will be initiated on and from 21.06.2016.

• The applicants, who are willing to apply for the following Subject Codes with prescribed Subject Combinations with Journalism & Mass Communication General (JORG) and Geography General (GEOG) are hereby instructed to opt an alternative subject combination mandatorily at the time of On-line form fill up because there is restricted no. seats for the following combinations with JORG and GEOG, and that too will be filled strictly according to merit.

• Submission of the application form along with requisite fees does not guarantee admission of the applicant. The applicants must note that all admissions are provisional and subject to C.U approval. Once a student admitted, under any circumstances College is not liable to refund the amount received during admission.
