Courses offered, Combination of Subjects and Intake Capacity

• A candidate taking up B.A./B .Sc. (Honours) and B.Sc. General Courses shall study:
  • Honours subjects with two general subjects combination (for B.A. / B.Sc. Honours) or three general subjects combination (for B.Sc. General Course).
  • Language group: English (compulsory) and Bengali or Alternative English.
  • Environmental Studies.
• 22% and 6% of the seats are reserved for Schedule Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribes (ST) whereas 10% and 7% of the seats are kept reserved for Other Backward Class- A (OBC-A) and Other Backward Class- B (OBC-B) respectively.
• SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B candidates from West Bengal are only eligible for reserved seats.
• As per G.O.No 65-Edn(U)/1U-89/13 Date: 16.10.2014, person with disabilities will enjoy 3% reservation in each of the categories, i.e. SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and the General category.
