The Merit list for admission in B.COM (H) will be prepared on the basis of the best 4 total to which their subject score (Accountancy / Math / Stat / Business Studies) will be added. Note :
The word 'Subject' or 'related Subject' for B.Com. Honours in Accounting & Finance will denote that the applicant must study any of the following subjects.

B.A. / B.Sc. Honours West Bengal Council / Other Board All applicants aspiring to take up Honours in Education, History & Political Science will have to appear in an Admission Test in their respective medium of instruction. The Test will be of 25 Marks based on unseen topics such as comprehension test and paragraph writing and will be of one hour duration. The date of Test will be 7th June 2016 and the Time will be 8:00 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. They must bring their Application Deposit Receipt / Challan with them which will be treated as their Admit card. The Marks they will score will be added with the Best 4 Marks and the respective subject Marks to prepare the Merit List. The Applicant aspiring to take up Honours in English, Bengali, Geography & Economics should take note that the Merit list will be prepared on the basis of calculation of the best 4 total and the marks they have secured in the respective subject which will be added together. |

Economics Honours : A candidate shall be allowed to take up Honours in Economics if she has passed in Mathematics at the H.S. Examination (10+2) conducted by West Bengal Council of H.S. Education or its Equivalent examination in Mathematics/Business Mathematics. Students who have passed Business Economics including Business Mathematics in H.S. (10+1) level from West Bengal Council of H.S. Education are also eligible for admission in the Honours Course in Economics. |

GENERAL COMBINATION WITH GEOGRAPHY
General Combination without Geography
Admission will start as per CU Circular. Candidates offering Elective English & Elective Bengali must have secured 45% Marks in aggregate and 50% Marks in respective Subjects. For B.Sc. General with Botany as Combination, Candidates intend to take up Botany as Combination subject must have Botany or Biology or Bio-Technology at Higher Secondary Level. |

Regulation for Admission to the three year B.A. / B.Sc. /B.Com. (Honours & General) Course of studies effective from the Academic Session 2016-17.
Admission Qualifications
- A Candidates who passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) or its equivalent Examination in 2011 and onwards are eligible to seek admission to the 1st year of the 3-year B.A./B.Sc./B.Com. (Honours & General) course of Studies Provided she has also passed in English having full marks not being less than 100.

Candidates who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Vocational examination conducted by the West Bengal State Council of Vocational Education and Training shall be eligible to seek admission to the B.A. (General) 1st year Course of studies taking the subjects under Humanities Division only. However, candidates who have passed the aforesaid H.S.Examination in Business & Commerce shall also be eligible for admission to the B.Com. (Major) 1st year Course of Studies under this University. However, no candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 5 (five) years from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination.
(Explanation : The year of admission shall not be taken into account while calculating five year from the year of passing the previous qualifying Examination). - For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours & General Course, aggregate marks, obtained at the pre-qualifying Examination, shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four subjects in order of marks, secured by a candidate. However, marks in compulsory Environmental Education/Studies shall not be taken into account for calculation of aggregate marks. If the subject “Environmental Science” is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks.
- Those making on line application for admission, a merit list will be published strictly following norms set by the college authority as per University rules.
- Eligibility for making on line application, however dose not guarantee admission.
- Marks obtained in Painting, Art, Fine Arts and other non-allied subjects will not be taken into account.
- Separate on line application forms should be used when a student opts for Honours in different subjects.
- Foreign students should contact Principal for Admission.
Migrating Candidates
Students who have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination or its equivalent from the All India Boards/Councils (i.e. CBSE, ISC & National Institute of Open Schooling) need not require to submit Migration Certificate for getting Registration under the University.
