Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Instructions for On-Line Application 2016
Read the following instructions carefully before submission of On-line Application.

The Steps to be taken for On-Line submission of application:
STEP 1 :
Fill all the Fields of the Online Application Form correctly and sequentially.
STEP 2 :
In case of applying for more than one subject, fill in separate Online Application Form for each course.
NOTE: Vide Ref. No. : CS/1658/Adm.(Cir.), dated the 13th May, 2015 of the University of Calcutta.
For the purpose of determining eligibility for admission to the Honours Course, aggregate marks, obtained at the pre-qualifying Examination, shall be calculated by adding the marks in top-four Subjects in order of marks, secured by a candidate. However, marks in Compulsory Environmental Education / Studies shall not be taken in to account for Calculation of aggregate marks (if the subject "Environmental Science" is studied as an elective subject of 100 marks, it may be taken into account for the purpose of determining the aggregate marks).
Please Note : The Aggregate and the Merit Index will be system generated.
STEP 3 :
Note down the unique Application ID No. which will be generated automatically after submission of the Online Application Form for future reference. This is very important.
STEP 4 :
Print Bank Challan (Student and Bank copy) and Application Form (Student's Copy) after submission of Online Application.
(* In case a candidate fails to print Bank Challan / Application Form (Student's Copy), she/he will go to the Home page (Upper left hand corner of this page) and Click 'Print Application Form / Bank Challan' menu which is located on the left-hand side of home page)
STEP 5 :
Deposit the Online Admission Fee of Rs.100 (in cash only) at the College Street Branch of Bank of India (opposite Sanskrit College, 1, Bankim Chatterjee Street) within the stipulated date. APPLICATION WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR ADMISSION IN CASE THE FEE IS DEPOSITED IN BRANCHES OF BANK OF INDIA OTHER THAN THE COLLEGE STREET BRANCH. (In case a candidate applies for more than one subject, Online Application Fee will have to be paid separately for each subject).
STEP 6 :
The first provisional merit list will be published online on
13-06-2016 (11:00 A.M.). Further instructions connected to the admission procedure will be provided along with the merit lists.
STEP 7 :
Candidates are advised to be very careful while filling up the form as no corrections can be made once the form is submitted. However, if after submission, it is found that incorrect entries have been made, a fresh form has to be filled online.
NOTE: NO COPIES OF DOCUMENTS SUCH AS MARKS SHEET WILL HAVE TO BE PRODUCED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION OR SUBMISSION OF ONLINE ADMISSION FEE. The list of documents that will have to submitted/produced at the time of admission will be attached to the Merit Lists.
