To fulfil the aspirations of the local people Rabindra Bharati Mahavidyalaya was established in 2010 as a co-education college. The college is affiliated to Vidyasagar University and is aided by Govt. of West Bengal. It is situated at the entrance of the district Purba Medinipur by the side of the Rupnarayan River. At present the college is running at Kola Union High School premises in the morning shift and the college authority is trying their best for the construction of it’s own college building at Kolaghat town.The college is imparting teaching with Honours in Bengali, English, History, Sanskrit & Education. The college will start Hons. in Geography with effect from academic session 2015-16. The college is in a nursery stage awaiting the development of its own infrastructural facilities exclusively. To bring prosperity in the local area by scratching the light of education and to inculcate the moral values the college is committed to provide excellence in higher education. The college authority seeks help form the Govt. and all other concerned for the construction of its own building and development of infrastructural facilities at this embryonic stage towards the all round development of the college.
