General Information for Admission to M.A. in English 2016

• Only on-line application for admission will be entertained.
• On-line application for admission will be through college website. Application fee for 2016 is Rs. 500.00 (including bank charges).
• Total no. of seats is 40.
• Caste reservation as per West Bengal government rules.
• If insufficient suitable number of SC/ST/OBC candidates are available in the 60% reserved category, the same may be filled up by SC/ST/OBC candidates in the 40% reserved category merit list and vice versa. Inspite of this, if SC/ST/OBC seats are still vacant, the same may be filled up by Narasinha Dutt College students from their respective merit list positions.
• Documents to be produced at the time of admission (original and photocopy) :
  • All mark sheets related to B.A three years Hons. Exams.
  • University Registration Certificate.
  • B.A. Hons. Part III admit card.
  • H.S. marksheet
  • Admit card of Madhyamik or equivalent exam.
• All rules are subject to change by the order of the appropriate authority.
• Error / Omission / Ambiguity if any, are subject to change by approval of the appropriate authority.
• In general, reimbursement of admission fees is not allowed. If any candidate wishes to cancel his or her admission for better opportunities, within a stipulated period, then reimbursement of tuition fees only, may be allowed but the entire process will be at the discretion of the college authority.
