Birbhum Vivekananda Homeopathic College & Hospital was established in 1972, on way back after attending a convention on Homoeopathic Science at Suri, Birbhum, a few enthusiastic Homoeopathic and Social workers of Sainthia decided to form an organisation. The aim of the college is to educated youths and to propagate the Laws of Homoeopathic Science at a low cost and within a month.

The college is approved by C.C.H. and affiliated to West Bengal University of Health Sciences. The mission of Birbhum Vivekananda Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is to extend facilities and offer humanitarian activities to the suffering humanity in the remote rural areas of West Bengal by equipping them with the means for the realization of the Inner potential energies of Homoeopathic Medicine through Education. The ideal and ideology of trueness, the honest attempt to fulfill the desire of the great scientist Dr. Samuel Hahnemann who emphasized the need of carrying out the Light of Homoeopathic Education to serve the needy ailing humanity and of uplifting the followers from the abyss of quackery.
