Subject Combination Option :
B.A Honours in the following Subjects :
English. Bengali, History, Geography and Sanskrit. Student opting for any of the Honours Subjects are required to Study two Subsidiary Subjects and may take anyone Subject from each of the following Four Subject groups as combination.
- Sociology / Political Science
- Economics / History
- Elective English / Elective Bengali + Compulsory Languages
- Sanskrit
- History (Hons.) students cannot take History as a combination subject.
- Bengali (Hons.) students cannot take Bengali as a combination subject.
- English (Hons.) students cannot take English as a combination subject.
- Geography (Hons.) students cannot take Geography as a combination subject.
- Sanskrit (Hons.) students cannot take Sanskrit as a combination subject.
Note :
1) Students who take up any of the Honours Courses can not opt for
Geography as combination Subjects.
2) Students who take up Geography Honours should have to opt for economics and pass subject compulsory.
B.A General Courses
Subjects offered : Bengali, English, History, Sociology, Economics, Political Science, Geography. A students opting for three Year B.A. General Courses is required to study, three subjects from the following subjects groups as combination subjeects.
- Sociology / Political Science
- Economics / History
- Elective English / Elective Bengali + Compulsory Languages
- Geography / Sanskrit
Student opting for Geography as a combination subject for their general curriculum should necessarily have the same subject at the Plus Two level
