Admission Procedure 2016-2017
- Students will apply online through our website “http://www.jogamayadevicollege.org”. She has to enter all her necessary information in the website and will be responsible for the authenticity of the data. College will not impose any criteria except the University norms for the admission to specific subjects.
- Based on the data given by the applicants, a list will be published in the said website following norms proposed by the College Authority. In that case, College should follow the norms of previous year as there was no flaw or error in the last year.
- The final merit list will be published in College Website only and nowhere else. Any question related to the merit list and admission procedure should be asked to the college office during college hours only.
- At the time of admission the candidate should come with printed application form (downloaded from College Website) and original + photostat copies of all her testimonials. The SC/ST/OBC and physically handicapped candidates should also bring relevant supporting documents (both original + photostat copies) to get the respective benefit.
- When the candidates produce their documents in the admission verification counter run by the departmental staffs, the teachers will verify the filled-in web-generated form from the original documents. After verification of marks teacher put his/her signature on the respective field of the form as the sign of verification.
- In the whole admission process, the Form No. should be unique and it will be treated as Students’ Unique Reference ID.
- Her filled-in forms will be collected by the College Authority after acknowledging through a receipt with next instruction. Then the computer operator will put a cross mark in a particular check box against her name in the web-portal so that she can download the filled-in payment slip from our admission portal. This page will be secured and password protected and only responsible staffs of the Jogamaya Devi College will be allowed to open that Webpage. Under any circumstances, applicants will not be allowed to handle this process.
- An auto generated/ manual admission slip will be given to Applicant which indicates that she will be allowed to download the payment slip.
- The applicant will then go to any branch of Indian Bank to deposit the admission charges through the printed payment slip (downloaded from Website) or she may transfer money electronically through debit or credit card or e-transaction.
- Our solution provider, WebTech will finally send us the final list of admitted candidates the very next day after tallying the banknote and other details.
- After completion of other back-office processes, an auto-generated Welcome SMS & Mail with Roll No., College Unique ID and different dates like dates of orientation programme and distribution of identity card will be sent to the admitted students.
- After getting the Unique College ID students will use it as reference purpose and from that point of time Admission Form No and/or Unique Admission ID will lose its significance.
- For the General Course Admission, the candidates have to apply separately for science, arts or commerce stream. Applicants need not fill up more than one form for different combinations for a particular stream like science, arts etc. Admission list will be prepared strictly on merit and it will be shorted out on aggregate numbers.
- Admission to Communicative English (Major) will be treated as an Honours subject and it will be treated accordingly during the time of admission.
- All the admission will be provisional and College will have the ultimate right to accept or reject a particular admission form or admission process.
- We will take the technical and other expertise from WebTech Solutions, Indian Bank and Mr. Sukhendu Mal (Provider of College Maintenance Software – SmartCollege®).
