Application Procedure 2016

Logon to Hooghly women's college website www.hooghlywomenscollege.org and select the Admission tab to go to Admission web page.

1. Select the Honours / General Stream (e.g. B.A. / B.Sc.) that you wish to apply for.
2. Now select the Honours/General Subject that you wish to apply for (e.g. English, Bengali etc).
   Note: You have to apply separately for separate Honours subjects and separate stream(i.e. Arts / Science) for General course.
3. Fees for individual Application is Rs. 80/- (Rs. Eighty) only.
4. Choose your 10+2 board(Please check whether your board of examination appears in the list of allowed boards), 10+2 stream that you have studied in, your category / caste (General / SC / ST / OBC-A / OBC-B) and finally your state of domicile.
5. Select whether your are physically challenged.
6. Proceed to the next step.
7. Mention aggregate in percentage and the relevant subject marks in percentage. (Please be very careful to enter the mark's percentage correctly. Incorrect entry may lead to cancelation of candidature during verification/final Admission).
8. Proceed to the next step.
9. The application form opens.
10. Enter your personal details and select wherever necessary and wherever applicable. Select your preferred subject combination from the list given.
11. Enter your marks as per your 10+2 marksheet in the marksheet column (Please be very careful to enter the mark's percentage correctly. Incorrect entry may lead to cancelation of candidature during verification / final Admission). Now press the “calculate” button to calculate your aggregate and merit marks which are displayed alongside the button.
12. Check on the declaration, preview your application and submit the same if all information has been entered correctly by you as required.
13. Generate a Bank challan for offline payment in HDFC bank branch or select the online payment option to make payment via credit card / debit card / internet banking.
14. Once you have made the payment offline / online your application is complete. You may now take a printout of your application form.
15. Check the Admission website for your position in merit list on date specified in the Notice 'Important Dates'.
16. Check the Admission website regularly to check whether your Application has been opened for provisional admission or not. If your Application is opened for provisional admission then enter the Admission page to generate a bank challan for offline payment in HDFC bank branch or select the online payment option to make payment via credit card / debit card / internet banking.
    Once you have made the payment offline / online your provisional admission is complete. Preserve the Admission Fee's payment receipt to produce the same at the time of verification / final Admission.
17. Be present on stipulated date and time of verification / final Admission with all the original documents and printouts of Application form and Admission Fee's payment receipt.
18. Application for Hostel accommodations can be made at the time of verification/final Admission.
