Applicants placed in the PROVISIONAL MERIT LIST and PROVISIONAL MERIT CUM WAITING LIST NO. I, II, III and IV must report on the dates and time as mentioned above. Applicants placed in PROVISIONAL MERIT CUM WAITING LIST NO. I, II, III and IV will get the chance for admission on the basis of merit, if seats are available.

Important Points Relating to Provisional Merit List and Admission

• Merit lists of the applicants are prepared on the basis of percentile of the applicants calculated by using the following rationalisation formula :
  Percentile of the applicant = {(Aggregate of the applicant from the Board Concerned e.g. WBCHSE) / (Maximum Aggregate of the applicant from the Board Concerned e.g. WBCHSE)} x 100.
• Applicants placed in different merit lists must report one hour before the scheduled time of admission as stated above along with any of the parents.
• If any listed applicant fails to report on scheduled date and time he/she will not get any further chance of admission. All concerned are to note that on merit based admission if any applicant is absent, the next applicant in the merit list is admitted. No request for considering the absence on the scheduled date and time on any ground will be entertained.
• Publication of name in the provisional merit list does not guarantee admission which is subject to verification of all information stated in electronically submitted application and payment of online application fee. For such verification applicants must bring all the original testimonials as stated in Admission Notice dated 13.05.2016.
• College copy of the challan duly stamped by the bank must be produced at the time of admission.
• SC, ST, OBC-A and OBC-B applicants of the State of West Bengal only are eligible for reservation facility under these categories. SC and ST candidates of West Bengal must produce the original Caste/Tribe Certificate failing which they cannot avail of the reservation facility.
• Physically challenged candidates must produce the Original Medical Certificate issued by a Doctor of any recognized Government hospital and the percentage of disability must be clearly stated in such certificate. To avail of the reservation facility disability percentage should not be less than 40% as per Government Order.
• Any case of non-inclusion of name of any deserving applicant in the list must be reported to the undersigned with the copy of bank challan within the specified date mentioned above.
• Selected local applicants seeking admission are directed to remain present with his/her parent at the time of admission. However, outstation candidate is allowed to remain present with his /her parent or local guardian whose name was mentioned in the application form.
• For admission to this College applicants who have already got admission to another college must produce Transfer Certificate in original or Proof of Cancellation of previous admission at the time of admission.
• Applicants are directed to bring with them Rs. 960/- to be paid during admission.
