Teachers Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) is likely to release the results of TET examinations soon. The candidates who had appeared for the examinations can check the results by logging on to the official website, www.trb.tripura.gov.in, once it is released.

The board had conducted the examinations on September 25 for recruitment to the posts of Teacher.

To check the Tripura TET results, candidates should perform the following steps:

• Log on to the official website, the link for which is www.trb.tripura.gov.in
• On the home page, the candidate should click on the 'Result' tab
• When the new page opens, depending on the examination for which the candidate appeared, they should click on the live link 'Tripura TET Results - 2016'
• In the new page that opens, the candidate should fill-in the requisite details such as their Roll Numbers in the space provided and Submit
• The result would appear on the screen, the aspirants are advised to take a print out of the same for future reference

The candidates who will clear the examinations successfully will be hired for the respective posts.

In accordance with the provisions of sub-section (1) of section 23 of the RTE Act, National council for Teacher Education had vide Notification dated 23rd August, 2010 laid down the minimum qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher in various levels of classes. It had been inter alia provided that one of the essential qualifications for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII in any of the schools referred to in clause (n) of section 2 of the RTE Act is that she / he should pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) which will be conducted by the appropriate Government in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the National council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

Accordingly, Government of Tripura has constituted the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) for conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for selection of candidates at elementary level (for classes I to VIII) as well as conduct of Selection Test for Graduate Teachers (for classes IX-X) and Selection Test for Post Graduate Teachers (for classes XI-XII) for recommendation of recruitment of teachers.

Presently, office of the Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) is located in the premises of the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Kunjaban, Agartala and exercises power throughout the state of Tripura. The Board functions with the Chairman, Member Secretary, three Members, Controller of Examinations, and other office staff.
