The Meghalaya Board of School Education declared the results of MBOSE HSSLC (Class 12) examination, on the official website,
www.mbose.in

This year, 3586 students have appeared in the HSSLC science exams, out of which 2670 students have passed the exam calculating a pass percentage of 74.46. In the Commerce stream, 1542 students have passed the exam out of 2184 students, registering a pass percentage of 70.60.

The East Jaintia Hills district has performed the best, with a pass percentage of 89.66. However, the MBOSE science result 2016 has dipped in comparison to the previous year when the pass

Only six students appeared for the vocational stream HSSLC exam 2016, out of whom, five have passed, thus registering a pass percentage of 83.33.

The results of the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination, 2016 Science, Commerce and Vocational Streams will be available on the official website, www.results.mbose.in.

About Meghalaya Board of School Education

Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) first started in 1973, Head Quarters at Tura, to conduct Examination, frame syllabus and evaluation & certification of SSLC Examination for the first time in 1974. Higher Secondary Section was then called as P.U. (Pre-University) and its examination process was handled by NEHU-North East Hills University, head office at Shillong. But after 1996, when the University (NEHU) discontinued the Pre-University Course, it was taken over by the Board, since then all the financial matters, relating with SSLC and HSSLC branch were being dealt by the Board itself. Due to the increasing number of students per year, the work load is also increased. After 1996, the Board is handling all the academic matters related with framing of syllabus for all the classes, including SSLC and HSSLC.
