CBSE – NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY CUM ENTRANCE TEST NEET (UG) - 2016 RESULTS
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the combined results of National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2016 on its official website, aipmt.nic.in.
This year, Het Shah has topped the examination by securing 685 marks followed by Ekansh Goyal with 682 marks and Nikhil Bajiya acquired 678 marks.
NEET Phase 1 was conducted at 1,040 centres in 52 cities all over India and abroad, whereas NEET II was held at 739 centres in 56 cities in India.

How to check the results?
In order to check the results, the candidates are required to follow the steps listed below :
- Go to the official website
- Click on the link, 'NEET Phase 2 Results 2016'
- Enter the requisite details
- After submitting the same. The results would appear on the screen.
- The candidates must take a printout for future reference.

The result of NEET -UG 2016 has been declared on the basis of the qualifying criteria prescribed by the Medical Council of India and Dental Council of India and also based on the information submitted by the candidates in their online forms. The qualified candidates have to further complete the formalities and admission with the respective Counselling Authorities viz DGHS, Medical Education Directorates of States, AFMC, Institutions and Universities, etc. for admission to MBBS/BDS courses.
About the exam:
- The exam had 180 objective type multiple choice questions based on three subjects - Biology (90 questions), Physics and Chemistry (45 questions each)
- It is conducted for an admission into MBBS/BDS courses in Medical/Dental Colleges run with the approval of Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India under the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India
