    B.Tech. (ECE, CSE, EEE, IT, ME, CE, DSE) Minimum Qualification: 12+ / Equivalent with 50% marks in PCM.

    Lateral B.Tech. (ECE, CSE, EEE, IT, ME and CE) Minimum Qualification: Diploma in appropriate branch OR B.Sc with Mathematics, with 60% marks.

    Admission Procedure: Merit, based on marks in the qualifying examination and Entrance Test conducted by SMIT.
    BBA / BCA / B.Sc. IT Minimum Qualification: 10+2 / equivalent in any stream with 50% marks.

    Admission Procedure: Merit, based on marks in the qualifying examination.
    MCA / M.Sc. IT Minimum Qualification: Bachelor in any discipline with Maths / Statistics in 10+2 with 50% marks.

    Admission Procedure : Entrance Test Conducted by SMIT.
    MBA (Finance, Marketing, Systems & HR) Minimum Qualification: Bachelor in any discipline with 50% marks.

    Admission Procedure: MAT & CAT score / University Entrance Test and GDs/PIs.

    + Scholarship

    Institute Merit cum Means Scholarship (B.Tech.)
    • 30% concession on Course fee for B.Tech. candidates having average PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) percentage 90 and above.
    • 20% concession on Course fee for B.Tech. candidates having average PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) percentage between 85 and 90.
    • 10% concession on Course fee for B.Tech. candidates having average PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) percentage between 80 and 85.
    • 20% concession on Course fee for B.Tech. candidates of Nepal and Bhutan and Bangladesh (SAARC Countries excluding India).
    • 10% concession on Course fee to the immediate siblings of SMIT Students for taking admission in B.Tech. course.
    • Institute means scholarship **
    • 75% concession in tuition fee is given to students sponsored by Govt. of Sikkim.
    • M.Tech : 50% scholarship in course fee for the Top 2 meritorious (GATE Score/Entrance Test conducted by the Institute) students.
