Medium of Instruction : Bengali Students may write answers in Bengali / English. In view of increasing importance of English as a link language, stress is laid on developing proficiency in Communicative English.

Admission Procedure

Admission is taken strictly in accordance with N.C.T.E. & V.U. rules. The University prepares Central Merit List and candidates are admitted after proper councilling. At the time of admission in the college , the following original documents are to be shown for verfication :

• Admits, Marksheets Registration Certificate of all Public Examination.
• Caste Certificate.

For candidates graduating from any other University Migration Certificates will be required, which are to be submitted within one month of Admission.

Registration of Students :

Students coming from home University i.e. Vidyasagar University need not register themselves again. Students from other University have to fill up Registration Forms within one month of their admission. Registration Fee per candidate : Rs. 100/-

Malighati Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College has been set up by Malighati Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Society for Advancement of Learning & Health which is a registered voluntary organization (Regd. No. S/L/9319 of 2002-2003). Ofcourse, the initial name of the Society was Lisa Computer Education & Centre which was altered keeping in view of the felt need for establishmentand management of a Teacher's Training Institution in the area. The activists of the Society approached Babu Santinath Chowdhury, the owner of the Malighati Estate for giving permissive possesion of his vast land and spectacular building to the Society so that the proposed B.Ed. College could be run. It goes without saying that Babu Santinath Chowdhury who was at bottom a philanthropist and an educationist readily agreed to the proposal. Because of his generosity and magnanimity Malighati Estate became a seat of higher learning after slight restructuring & renovation.
