Admission to First Year Classes for the Session – 2016-2017 (Honours and General)

SELECTION CRITERIA AND WEIGHTAGE FORMULA FOR MERIT SCORE
For B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. HONOURS & GENERAL. Admission

• For Honours Course -
  • Candidates will be selected strictly on the basis of Merit List.
  • The rank in the merit list will be prepared AS PER DEPARTMENTAL SPECIFICATION. For specific departmental specification please see “Merit Score Preparation” file in the website
• For General Course -
  • Candidates will be selected strictly on the basis of Merit List.
  • The rank in the merit list will be prepared upon the Aggregate marks. [Aggregate = Sum of Top four related subjects]
• Reservation -
  • The Reservation of seats will be according to the existing government norms.
  • SC/ST APPLICANTS FROM OTHER STATES WILL BE CONSIDERED AS GENERAL CANDIDIATES.
  • Reserved category Applicants should possess specific valid Certificate from approved authority.
  • OBC candidates should possess Certificate mentioning their Category A/B
• Sports Quota -
  • 1% (one percent) of the total seats up to the limit of 4 students in a particular subject for Honours Course.
    2% (two percent) in General course.
    • Submission of application through on-line by ticking appropriate field.
    • State level/National level Sports persons will be given preference if the Applicant possess valid Certificate from approved authority.
    • Selection on physical verification of necessary documents and Test, if required, by Sport Committee.
