Calculation of Aggregate

• AGGREGATE = Best Language(English/Bengali) + Best Three (3) out of the remaining conventional subjects(which may include the second best language(English/Bengali))
• Compulsory Environmental Studies will NOT be considered in either case.
• 10% and 5% of the Aggregate would be deducted in case of the candidates passing in 2014 and 2015 respectively.

Formulation for Merit marks

• For HONOURS in Economics, Education, Sociology and Environmental Science :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE
• For HONOURS in Geography (Science) :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN MATHEMATICS
• For HONOURS in Accountancy :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN ACCOUNTANCY (with Accountancy in qualifying exam)
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN MATHEMATICS (without Accountancy in qualifying exam)
• For Hons in French :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN FRENCH/ENGLISH (whichever is higher)
• For HONOURS in Computer Science :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN COMP. Sc. / MATHEMATICS (whichever is higher)
• For HONOURS in all other subjects :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE + MARKS IN SUBJECT CONCERNED
• For General Courses :
  MERIT MARKS = AGGREGATE
