Rules and Criteria
- Attendance in all the curricular or co-curricular programmers is compulsory. If he/she fails to attend the programme, he/she must inform the principle & give application with proper grounds otherwise college authority has every rights no to allow him/her to sit the final examination.
- Appending in the Test Examination will be compulsory for being sent up for the final B. Ed examination.
- A minimum of 75 attendances at classes, both theoretical and practical, in each subject is compulsory.
- Outside are not permitted within the college premises and students should not bring outsiders to the college without prior permission of the authority of the college.
- Cell phone should be switched off during class hours and inside the library.
- Malpractices of any type of examination will lead immediate expulsions from the examination hall.
- The college is recognized by the NCTE and affiliated to the University of Burdwan and the seats are therefore limited.(Total seats 100 Only)
- Deputed candidates can enjoy C.L. or M.L as per Govt. Rules

Bijoy Pal Memrial B.Ed. college is situated in the middle of Burnpur - Asansol Township, which is communicable by bus & train from Asansol, Burdwan, Chittaranjan, Kulti, Raniganj, Durgapur, Jamuria, Bokaro, Ranchi, Dhanbad, Adra, Purulia and Murardi. Railway stations are Burnpur and Asansol from where bus, minibus and trakker are available at short intervals.
In such an educational scenario, Burnpur Hirapur Educational Society, registered under West Bengal Society Act. Vide No. L/26908 of 2004-2005, took the venture to establish a B.Ed. college on self-financing basis at Burnpur, PS- Hirapur, Dist-Burdwan with the help and active co-operation of some education-loving persons of the area. Common people too appreciated this endeavor and come forward with all kinds of assistance. Proposal for setting up a B.Ed. College at Burnpur was placed before the State Government and the University of Burdwan. In condensation of the justification of the proposal the State Government of West Bengal issued N.O.C. vide letter No. 576-Edn(CS)40-40/05 dated, Kolkata, the 24th August 2005 and the University of Burdwan accorded affiliation to this B.Ed. College vide letter No. IC/affln./P/132/483 dated 30th January 2006.
