Criteria for preparation of merit list for admission in 1st year B.A./ B.Sc./ B.Com/BBA (Honours. & General) Courses. [The criteria may be relaxed and admission may be taken according to university criteria if there exist vacant seats after exhaustively considering all applicants who possess the college admission criteria.]

Education /Sociology : Psychology, Philosophy, Mathematics, Sociology, Education, Economics, Pol. Science, History will be treated as related subjects.
Philosophy : Psychology will be treated as the related subject.
Food & Nutrition: A candidate must pass in chemistry at HS or equivalent examination and should take Chemistry as one of the elective subjects.
Commerce (Marketing (MRTA)): Accountancy / Business Economics including Business Mathematics / Business Organization / Mathematics / Economics / Statistics/ Commerce/ Accounts/ Business Studies/ Office Management and Secretarial Practice/ Elements of Cost Accountancy and auditing/ Bookkeeping/ Business mathematics/ Cost Accountancy and Principle of Management as related subjects.
Economics : A candidate must pass in Mathematics at HS or equivalent examination and fulfill the criteria for admission.
Candidates belonging to SC/ST categories and taking up Honours course must have obtained a minimum of 40% marks in the aggregate and 40% marks in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination. (University criteria)
For General candidates taking up Honours course must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate and 45% marks in the subject or related subject at the previous qualifying examination. (University criteria)
No candidate shall be allowed for admission after a lapse of more than 3 years (e.g. any candidate passing on or after 2013 does not require special permission) from the year of passing the previous qualifying examination or discontinuation of a recognized regular course of study after passing the previous qualifying examination. Those desirous to do so may seek special permission from University authorities which may be granted on recommendation of the Principal / TIC of the concerned college subject to availability of seats after the general admissions are over.
All admissions are valid only for one academic year (July – June), and are therefore to be renewed for each subsequent year of study.
