Admission Guideline for PG Admission 2016 - 2017
- Admission to M.Sc. & M.Com. Course will be made on the basis of marks/ grade obtained by the candidate at the Graduation level or equivalent examination recognized by affiliating University and other criteria as stated by the institution and as per guideline of the WBSCHE.
- A candidate who has passed 3-year B.Sc./BA/B.Com./BBA Examination with Honours/ Major in respective subjects and related subjects from West Bengal State University, C.U or universities recognized by UGC can apply for admission to the M.Sc./M.Com courses. Candidates other than WBSU/C.U should have completed 3yrs Degree courses in respective/related subjects and one of the subjects for which admission is seeking, should carry at least 800 marks and above. Candidates in Major subject in vocational status from the state universities or from distance mode are not eligible for P.G. admission.
- Admission will be made strictly on the basis of merit.
- Students seeking admission are required to pass in the Honours course of B.Sc. and B. Com/BBA without any PNC (Part not cleared).
- Admission in all M.Sc. & M.Com. Courses will be made through Admission Test conducted by the Department for the applicants from Other Universities. If any candidate fails to attain admission test, his/her right for admission will be forfeited. Merit list will be prepared by the Department giving weight age on both admission test and number scored in Honours Examination.(60% of the marks obtained in University exam and 40% marks obtained from admission test) and departmental decision in this regard is final . Admission test will be taken for 40 marks and of one hour of duration.
- Admission in all M.Sc. & M.Com. Course will be made through Merit List prepared by the Department for the applicants from Home University in their fractional seats. If any candidate fails to attain the verification, his/her right for admission will be forfeited. The merit list will be prepared by the Department giving weight age on number scored in Honours Examination and departmental decision in this regard is final.
