At Bankura Sammilani College, we always attempt to foster a strong, vibrant, warm and valued relationship amongst the senior and junior students, teaching & non-teaching staff members; Students' union and alumni, as well as guardians, researchers, visiting experts & college authorities in order to create a happy pedagogical atmosphere concerted with social responsibility and service, through college NCC & NSS units, mass literacy, exhibition, blood donation, flood relief, games & sports and recreation sub-committees.
The College has been accredited by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2006 as the first one in the discrict and is undergoing reformation in all infra and super structural facilities. The uplift needed for its becoming a centre of excellence is earnestly cared now by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of the college.

Future Academic Vision - To create facilities for classical and modern faculties of study, the college authority always endeavours to seek approval from the Burdwan University and to provide with infrastructural facilites. In course of time the college has introduced courses like honours in English, Bengali, Sanskrit as well as Microbiology, Physics, Nutrition & Computer Science. The College Authority has decided to request Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to offer students appropriate courses so that they may have access to high quality education beyond the normal scope of degree irrespective of age, religion and caste. The college has greater vision to make the useful courses specially of the post graduate standards available to the students or the local knowledge - seeking people of the area. We are looking forward to introduce the courses under IGNOU from this very coming year.
