Postgraduate (M.A. / M.Sc.) Admission Criteria 2016

Online applications are invited for admission to Calcutta University affiliated M.A. / M.Sc. courses mentioned above from the candidates as per the eligibility criteria given in the following Table.

Environmental Science	M.Sc. in Environmental Science	Passed with B.Sc. (H) in Environmental Science as well as in any B.Sc. (Hons. / Major) Subject with Chemistry / Biochemistry as one of the Subjects.	50% in Hons. / Major (10% Relaxation for Reserved Categories)
Geography	M.Sc. in Geography	Passed with B.A. (H) / B.Sc. (H) in Geography	50% in Hons. (40% in Hons. for Reserved Categories)
Zoology	M.Sc. in Zoology	Passed with B.Sc. (H) in Zoology	50% in Hons. (40% in Hons. for Reserved Categories)

• Admission in 60% of the seats will be from C.U. students only on the basis of the marks obtained in B.A. / B.Sc. (Hons.) examination except Environmental Science, where all the seats will be filled up through admission test.
• 40% of the Post Graduate seats will be open for students of all the Universities including Calcutta University and the admission in these seats will be through Admission Test.
• Application Fee Rs. 500/- with admission test or Rs. 300/- with out admission test is to be paid through the bank challan (to be printed from website) at any branch of Bank Of Baroda or United Bank of India.
• Deadline for Online Application : 15th July,2016.

Admission Test :

• Admission Test will be based on Under-Graduate (Hons.) syllabus of Calcutta University of the respective subjects.
• Admission in all the seats of Environmental Science will be through admission test.
• The mode of examination will be multiple choice questions (MCQ). Full marks of examination for each subject will be 100.
