Applications are invited for admission to 1st year B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. Course (4 years) for Mohanpur, Burdwan & Bankura Campus and B.Sc. (Hort.) Course (4 years) for Mohanpur Campus only for the academic session 2017-2018 of Bidhan Chandra Krishi Viswavidyalaya. Candidates can only apply on-line through the University website (www.bckv.edu.in).

Only single application shall cover for B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. and B.Sc. (Hort.) Hons. Courses of this Viswavidyalaya.

  • #Admission to 1st year B.Tech. (Ag. Engg.) Hons. Course under the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering shall be made through West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination-2017.
  • Additional 20 seats for B.Sc. (Ag,) Hons., 6 seats for B.Sc. (Hort.) Hons. courses at Mohanpur Campus are kept reserved for admission through All India Entrance Examination conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) for the session 2017-2018.
  • Two(2) seats for B.Sc. (Ag.) for Mohanpur Campus are kept reserved for the studies belonging to Hill Tribe Quota sponsored by Darjeeling Gorkha Hill Council, Darjeeling, WB vide G.O. No. 4214(2)-Edn./9M(U)-31/2001 dated 9th Aug., 2001.

Eligibility : B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. / B.Sc. (Hort.) Hons. Course

  • Age : Not less than 16 years as on 31.08.2017
  • Qualification Requirements :
    WBCHSE & Other Boards WBSCVE&T (Vocational Stream)
    E.Q. : Higher Secondary passed (10+2) with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. E.Q. (For new syllabus 2015) : Higher Secondary passed (10+2) with English, Biology (Compulsory elective), Physics or Chemistry (Optional elective) and 2 vocational papers from any of the groups - Cultivation of Fruits & Vegetable / Horticulture / Crop Management / Plant Management.
    E.Q. (For old syllabus 2015) : Higher Secondary passed (10+2) with Communicative English with compulsory AG (3) Core subjects with Two (2) vocational papers - Paper-I (any one of PPFV, PLPT, HNMG, CAVC) & Paer-II (any one of CFAV, MRCL, MAAP, FRCL) related to Agriculture & Horticulture.
    % of Marks : At least 50% of marks in aggregate in the before said four (4) subjects for General/OBC/Sports Quota Candidates and 40% for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates % of Marks : At least 50% of marks in aggregate in the before said five (5) subjects for General/OBC/Sports Quota Candidates and 40% for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped Candidates
  • All the candidates must be permanent domicile of West Bengal. In case of ICAR's nominees, this clause shall not be applicable.
  • The reservation of seats as per State Govt. declared policy will be followed for specific type of Physically Handicapped individuals who fulfill the minimum physical fitness, essential to take theory and practical courses.
  • Candidates having proficiency in Sports and Games can apply under Sports Quota for B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. Course only.
  • Minimum eligibility for Sports Quota : Representation of District at Inter District level or equivalent tournaments in Badminton /Cricket / Football / Volley Ball organised by the District Sports Association or similar other Organization is required. Certificate in the prescribed proforma may be downloaded separately and to be submitted after filling the form from the appropriate authority along with the photocopy of District players' Identity Card at the time of verification of the same, following which the sports trial will be held.
  • The candidates must be of good health and capable of undertaking extensive fieldwork. The selected candidates will be required to undergo a medical examination before admission.

Cancellation of Admission

If it is found at any stage that a candidate has obtained admission by misrepresentation and/or suppression of facts, his/her admission shall be liable to be cancelled, without assigning any reason.

Submission of enclosure in A4 size papers at the time of counseling

  • Self attasted copy of HS mark-sheet (both side) & Age-proof certificate (Madhyamik Admit Card).
  • Self attasted copy of recent (not more than 6 months old) Medical critificate from proper authority for physical handicapped persons along with CERTIFICATE FROM AN OPTHOMOLOGIST (Original copy) to rule out Refractive Errors & Colour Blindness.
  • Self attasted copy of certificate (the category-SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/Sports) of the competent authority under which candidate applied for.
  • Self attasted copies of Sports proficiency certificates (at least inter district level) of the competent authority.
  • Self attasted photocopy of the Domicile Certificate issued by the competent authority (Chairman, Municipality/Pradhan, Gram Panchayat/B.D.O./S.D.O.).
  • Self attasted copy of Aadhar Card/Voter's Identity Card issued by the Election Commission in favour of the candidates or his/her parent (if any)/Gurdian.

Submission of Blood Electrophoresis (Thalassaemia) Test Report

The candidates who are admitted after counseling are required to submit self attested copy of Blood Electrophoresis (Thalassaemia) test report to the concerned Dean of the Faculties.

Residence

Residing in the Hostel is compulsory and for that students have to pay the requisite fees for accomodation in the Hostel. However, students may apply to become a day scholar in lieu of hostel accomodation; in that case he/she resides within 15 KM distance from the respective campus.
Students admitted will have to be agreed to abide the relevants rules and regulations of the Viswavidyalaya.

Mode of Application (Online only) and Payment of Fees (Online & Offline)

Apply Online through the Viswavidyalaya website (www.bckv.edu.in), the cost of application fee is Rs. 1000/- (for General/OBC/Sports candidates) and Rs. 500/- (for SC/ST/PH candidates), the application fee may be paid through online & offline mode. Only single application shall cover all the courses in all the campuses of the University.
Application Fees once paid will not be refunded.

Guidelines for Submission of Online Application Form

  • Open your own Email ID, if you do not have any.
  • Open BCKV website at www.bckv.edu.in and click on "Admission" and then choose "UG admission 2017".
  • Click on "START Form FILL-UP" button from Form fill-up section to start the Application Procedure.
  • Fill in the Online Application Form carefully with all the details.
  • Upload recent colour photograph & signature. Both images should be in JPG/JPEG file format. Photograph resolution should be (3.5cm x 4.5cm)/(99px x 128px) (Width x Height) and file size should be minimum 10KB and maximum 40KB. Signature resolution should be (3.5cm x 1.5cm) (Width x Height) and file size should be minimum 8KB and maximum 30KB.
  • Upload the self attested admit card of secondary examination (10th standard) for age verification. Uploaded file should be in JPG/JPEG file format. Its resolution should be (500px x 800px) (Width x Height) and file size should be minimum 150KB and maximum 300KB.
  • Upload the self attested mark sheet of Higher Secondary Examination / H.S. (Vocational) Examination (10+2 Standard). Uploaded file should be in JPG/JPEG file format. Its resolution should be (500px x 800px) (Width x Height) and file size should be minimum 150KB and maximum 300KB.
  • Make the payment for Application Fee using Online (Debit Card/Net Banking/RuPay) or Offline (e-Challan generation) mode. Offline payment of application can be done at any branch of United Bank of India (UBI).
  • After successful payment of Application Fee one SMS will be sent automatically by the system at your mobile phone containing the Application No. and transaction details.
  • Application process is completed after successful submission of Application Fee.
  • After completion of Step 4, if you are not able to continue the admission procedure, you can always login into the system the Application No. (Generated after completion of Step 4) and Password (supplied by you in form fill up section) to continue the admission procedure.
  • Only after successful payment of application fee, the applicant can print his/her Application Form (for own use.)
  • Incomplete Forms will be rejected straight way. Application filled with inappropriate data will be summarily rejected.
The Merit List shall not be issued individually to the candidates. The merit list along with admission shedule will be displayed in the Notice Board of the Admission and Scholarship Section at Mohanpur Campus and also in the University website. The dates of counseling (in short) will be published in the daily newspapers (Ananda Bazar Patrika, The Times of India and Ei Samay) and the details will be available at the University website. The admission will be made only on the basis of merit list folloeing a process of counseling.
Last Date of Application :
Last date for submission of Online Application shall be within 20 days from the date of publication of the result of the H.S. (10+2) Examination of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education 2017.

Admission Fees

Admission Fees for B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons. and B.Sc. (Hort.) Hons. Courses of Rs. 4,990/- (excluding hostel fees).
