The date & time schedule of examination of respective P.G. subjects

For admission to the M.A. / M.Sc. Course : 2013

Online applications are invited (from 9th July to 23rd July, 2013) for admission to Calcutta University affiliated M.A / M.Sc. course in Bengali, Environmental Science, Geography & Zoology from the candidates securing at least 50% marks (10% relaxation for the Reserved Category) in the respective Honours subject at B.A. / B.Sc. level. Students from any science stream with Chemistry / Biochemistry at undergraduate level are eligible for Environmental Science. Payment of Application Fee is to be made through the bank challan (to be printed from website) at any branch of UBI.

• Admission in 60% of the seats will be from C.U. students only on the basis of the marks obtained in B.A. / B.Sc. (Hons.) Examination except Environmental Science.
• 40% of the Post Graduate seats will be open for students of all the Universities including Calcutta University and the admission in these seats will be through Admission Test.
• Admission Test will be held on under graduate (Hons.) syllabus of Calcutta University of the respective subjects.
• Admission in all the seats of Environmental Science will be through admission test.
• The mode of examination will be multiple choice questions. Full marks of examination for each subject will be 100.
• The date & time schedule of examination of respective P.G. subjects will be notified later.
• * Bank Challan Receipt (original) is to be produced at the time of Admission Test.

For admission to the M.A. / M.Sc. Course : 2013

• Application form is to be submitted through On-line only. (Please Use Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browser for filling-up the Application form).
• Application fee is to be made through bank challan (to be printed from website) at any branch of UBI.

Steps to be followed after publication of merit lists

• Candidate selected for admission must Print Admission Form from College Website.
• Fill the form correctly, affix recent passport size photograph, attach attested photocopy of all the necessary documents (Mark Sheet of B.A. / B.Sc. (Hons.) examination; proof of date of birth; Caste, tribe or disability certificate from competent authority, proof of Residence – Ration Card/ Adhar Card/Voter’s Identity Card/Passport).
• Get the forms verified with all original documents by the Head of the respective Departments.
• After verification collect ADMIT order from Principal’s office.
• Payment of Fees : Collect fees payment voucher from the college website and deposit the fees in CASH at Bank of Baroda, Bhowanipore Branch, Kolkata – 700026.
• Registration Form: Each student from other university must have to submit filled-in Calcutta University Registration Form (available at the college office) during his/her admission, failing which his/her admission is liable to be cancelled.
• Filled-in Registration Form along with Admission Form are to be submitted in the college office to get the Roll No. with Fees Book and Identity Card.
• Submit your college Roll Number to the respective Department after admission.
• Taking admission within stipulated date is mandatory failing which the candidature will be canceled.
• Students, already enrolled in another College/University should get their Admission cancelled from the previous college/University before collecting admission form.
• Wait-listed candidates for P.G. course are advised to keep in touch with respective departments for information regarding current position in admission list.

NOTE :

• The admission is provisional, subject to scrutiny and verification of the documents submitted.
  The provisional admission is liable to cancelled if the fail to submit documents required by the university. If admission of any such student is not approved by the university, she/he will not be entitled to any refund of fees.
• Selection will be strictly on the of merit.
