Applications are invited for admission to 1st year B.Com. Honours Course in Accounting and Finance under the University of Calcutta for the academic session 2013 - 2014.

» Eligibility Criteria:

1. Passed Higher Secondary or any other equivalent examination in 2013 as regular candidate with at least five subjects of 100 marks each including English and any one of the following related subjects, viz.,

   Accountancy, Business Economics including Business Mathematics, Business Organisation, Mathematics, Business Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Business Studies, Office Practice and Secretarial, Financial Accounting, Elements of Cost Accountancy and Auditing, Book Keeping, Commerce, Cost Accountancy and Principle of Management.

2. Secured the minimum marks as indicated below:
   
   1. For General category and Persons with Disabilities Category Candidates : 65% in aggregate and 60% in the related subject.
   2. For SC/ST Candidates of West Bengal only: 50% in aggregate and 45% in the related subject.

Clarification to Point No. 2
Aggregate Percentage of marks is to be calculated by considering the best marks obtained in the four subjects excluding the compulsory Environmental Education / Studies.

» Selection Procedure :

Selection of candidates will be made strictly on the basis of merit.
List of selected candidates will be displayed in our admission website separately for the Morning Section and the Day Section. Candidates are advised to mention their first choice either for Morning or for Day section. However, they are also free to exercise their second choice for a particular section, if any.

» Issue and Submission of Forms :

The Application Form will only be available online. Candidates are advised to fill up the application form electronically (online). In no case, filled up forms will be received by the office of the College. For downloading and electronic submission of the Application Form log on the Admission Website of the College www.goenkacollegeadmissions.com. Candidates will have to deposit the online application fee (non-refundable) of Rs. 60/- (including Bank Charges) to the Bank Account No. 1194104000008952 of INDIAN BANK.

» Important Points relating to Privisional Merit List and Admission :

1. If any listed applicant fails to report on scheduled date and time of admission as notified he/she will not get any further chance of admission. All concerned are to note that on merit based admission if any applicant is absent, the next applicant in the merit list is admitted. No request for considering the absence on the scheduled date and time on any ground will be entertained.
2. Publication of name in the provisional merit list does not guarantee admission which is subject to physical verification of all information stated in electronically submitted application and payment of online application fee.
3. Applicants must note that after admission no interchange between Morning Section and Day Section is allowed.
4. The selected applicants must submit at the time of admission declarations (i) for attending classes regularly and (ii) for abiding by the anti-ragging regulations of the institution.

1. Marksheet of Class X Examination in original.
2. Marksheet of Class XII Examination in original.
3. Photocopy of the Mark Sheet of the Class X Examination.
4. Photocopy of the Mark Sheet of the Class XII Examination.
5. SC / ST certificate in original.
6. Photocopy of the SC / ST certificate.
7. Physically Challenged certificate in original.
8. Photocopy of the Physically Handicapped Certificate.
9. Two (2) recent stamp-sized colour photograph.
10. College copy of the Challan stamped by the Bank on receipt of money.
