Bandwan Mahavidyalaya is situated in the Most Backword place of Jungle Mahal area in the District of Purulia.
Bandwan Mahavidyalaya has been estblished in the Year 2010 with introduction of Three Year Degree Courses in Arts. People of the locality donated more than 5 (Five) acrs of land and necesory support of money for construction of Building of the Mahavidyalaya.
The main objects of the established of this Institution was to spread Higher Education among the students of this Backword area. Specially for S.C. and S.T. students of the locality.
